1. Explosion-proof walls should be made of non-combustible materials and should not be used as load-bearing walls. Their fire resistance should not be less than 4h.
2. Explosion-proof walls can be reinforced brick walls. When there are more production personnel in the adjacent rooms or the equipment is more expensive, cast-in-place reinforced concrete walls should be used.
3. The thickness of reinforced brick walls should be determined by structural calculations, but should not be less than 240mm. The brick strength should not be less than MU7.5, and the mortar strength should not be less than M 5.
Structural reinforcement: 3Φ6-10 full-length horizontal steel bars are arranged every 500mm along the height direction of the wall, and both ends should be tied or welded with reinforced concrete frames or bent columns with embedded reinforcing bars. When the length and height of the brick wall are greater than 6m, reinforced concrete intermediate columns and beams should be provided, and structural reinforcement should be provided. The concrete strength grade should not be lower than C15, and its ends should be connected to the roof beams and frames and columns; the thickness of the reinforced concrete explosion-proof wall should not be less than 180mm, the concrete strength grade should not be less than C20, and the cross-sectional area of the steel bars is determined by structural calculations; it is not advisable to open holes on the explosion-proof wall. When process pipelines, cables, etc. must pass through, the holes should not be larger than Φ200mm, reinforcing steel bars should be arranged around the holes, and the holes should be filled and sealed tightly.

Explosion-proof walls or other blocking facilities should be set between devices with explosion hazards and devices without explosion hazards, and around equipment with greater risks.
